ABOUT THE NANTUCKET EDIT

The Island Had Everything Except the Event.

A new annual fashion and lifestyle weekend created to bring beauty, business, culture, and purpose together on Nantucket.

WHT THE EDIT EXIXSTS

Nantucket has never had a signature fashion event of its own.

Nantucket is architecturally protected, culturally layered, visually unmistakable, and shaped by a community with a deep sense of place. Yet for all its sophistication, the island has not had an annual gathering connecting fashion, retail, creative conversation, and island hospitality.

Founded by event producer AJ Williams, The Nantucket Edit brings established and emerging designers, local talent, national brands, retailers, media, and guests together for three days of carefully edited programming.

The ambition is larger than a successful first year. The weekend is being built as a lasting cultural property: an annual reason to experience Nantucket in the fall, a platform for design talent, a commercial opportunity for local businesses, and a vehicle for investing in the year-round community.

“Nantucket has everything it needs for an event like this, except the event itself.”

Our Mission

01

Fashion

A disciplined edit of designers, collections, voices, and ideas rather than an overcrowded marketplace.

To establish Nantucket as the Northeast's premier destination for coastal fashion and design —extending the island's cultural and economic season.

By extending the island’s cultural and economic season, elevating established and emerging talent, supporting local commerce, and strengthening the year-round community.

02

Place

Nantucket is treated as a cultural setting with its own aesthetic intelligence, not a theme to be reproduced.

03

Commerce

The weekend is designed to generate meaningful traffic for island hotels, restaurants, retailers, and service businesses.

04

Purpose

A portion of proceeds will support women’s health programming on Nantucket.

WHY OCTOBER

Fall Should Not Feel Like an Epilogue.

October offers a different version of Nantucket. The architecture feels more present. Restaurants become more conversational. Shopping becomes more personal. The pace gives guests time to notice the details.

By placing the weekend in October, The Edit can support businesses beyond the summer peak while giving visitors a compelling reason to experience the island in a more intimate season.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

An Event, Not a Content Feed.

The Nantucket Edit is not a publication observing the island from the outside, an influencer itinerary, or a conventional retail promotion. It is a live three-day cultural experience.

Designers will be in the room. Collections will be seen in motion. Conversations will happen in person. The Nantucket Edit does not report on the moment. It creates the moment.
