This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit nantucketedit.com; join our email list; contact us; submit a designer, retailer, partner, press, or other inquiry; register for or attend an event; purchase a ticket or other offering through an authorized provider; or otherwise interact with us. 1. SCOPE
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information that we process in connection with The Nantucket Edit website, communications, programs, and events. It does not apply to websites, platforms, or services operated independently by third parties, even when we link to them. Those third parties are responsible for their own privacy practices.
The website and event program will evolve. When we activate ticketing, payment, hotel, media-credential, partner-portal, or other services, we will update this Policy as needed to identify material new data practices.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you provide directly. Depending on how you interact with us, you may provide your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, company, title, professional affiliation, social-media handles, communication preferences, and the contents of your messages.
Inquiry and application information. Designer, retailer, partner, press, vendor, volunteer, or other submissions may include a brand or company overview, portfolio or collection images, links to work, distribution information, event interests, investment range, credentials, accessibility needs, and other information you choose to submit.
Registration, ticketing, and transaction information. When ticketing or paid services are enabled, we or our authorized providers may collect registration details, ticket type, guest information, billing address, transaction status, and related records. Payment-card information is generally processed directly by a third-party payment processor; we do not intend to receive or store complete card numbers.
Accessibility and special-assistance information. If you request an accommodation, dietary adjustment, mobility assistance, or other guest support, you may provide information that is sensitive. We use that information only to evaluate and fulfill the request, protect health or safety, comply with law, or as otherwise authorized by you.
Event media. At in-person programs, photographs, video, or audio may be created. Event-specific notices, signage, registration language, and ticket terms will explain how media may be captured and used.
Information collected automatically. When you use the website, we and our service providers may collect Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, referring and exit pages, dates and times of visits, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie identifiers, and similar technical or usage information.
Information from other sources. We may receive information from ticketing, registration, payment, email, customer-relationship, analytics, hotel, transportation, venue, or other service providers; from partners or referral sources acting with appropriate authority; from public business sources; and from social platforms when you interact with our official accounts or choose to share information with us through those platforms.
We may combine information collected from different sources for the purposes described in this Policy.
3. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may use personal information to:
• operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and our digital services;
• respond to questions, requests, applications, and business inquiries;
• manage subscriptions and send program announcements, ticket releases, hotel information, editorial updates, and other communications you have requested or that are otherwise permitted by law;
• administer registrations, tickets, payments, credentials, itineraries, guest services, accessibility requests, and event operations;
• review and manage designer, retailer, partner, sponsor, press, vendor, and programming opportunities;
• understand website use, measure campaign performance, improve content, and plan future programs;
• maintain business, accounting, tax, compliance, and transaction records;
• prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or other unlawful activity and protect the rights, safety, and property of guests, team members, partners, service providers, and others;
• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our agreements; and
• carry out another purpose disclosed when the information is collected or with your consent.
4. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
The website is currently built on Squarespace. Squarespace and other providers may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate and secure the site. If enabled, analytics and performance technologies may help us understand how visitors use the site. Embedded content, social-media features, video, maps, advertising tools, or other integrations may permit additional third parties to collect information under their own policies.
Where required, we will ask for consent before placing non-essential cookies. You may use the cookie banner or preference center, when displayed, to accept, decline, or manage available categories. You can also change browser settings to block or delete cookies, although some site functions may not work as intended.
5. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients, only as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose:
• service providers that support website hosting, forms, email, analytics, security, data storage, customer relationship management, registration, ticketing, payment processing, event technology, and related operations;
• venues, transportation providers, hotels, security teams, guest-services personnel, accessibility providers, production vendors, and other event partners when needed to deliver a program or fulfill your request;
• professional advisers, including lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, and consultants;
• government authorities, regulators, courts, law-enforcement agencies, or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of an event;
• a buyer, investor, lender, successor, or other relevant party in connection with an actual or proposed merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of our business or assets; and
• another recipient at your direction or with your consent. We do not provide your email address to sponsors or partners for their own direct marketing unless you affirmatively choose to receive communications from them.
6. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
You may unsubscribe from promotional email at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or contacting us. After you opt out, we may retain your address on a suppression list so we can honor the request. We may still send non-promotional messages that are necessary to respond to you, administer a transaction, provide ticket or event information, or address safety, security, or legal matters.
We will not send marketing text messages unless you have provided any consent required by law. If text messaging is introduced, the consent language, frequency, carrier-charge disclosure, and opt-out instructions will be presented separately.
7. SALE, SHARING, AND TARGETED ADVERTISING
As of the effective date, we do not sell personal information for money. We also do not knowingly disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing without your consent.
If we later use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising in a manner that is treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under applicable law, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required notice and opt-out method.
8. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide requested services, maintain accurate business and transaction records, honor communication preferences, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect safety and security, and comply with legal, accounting, tax, insurance, and reporting obligations. Retention periods vary by the nature of the information and the relationship.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, de-identify, or aggregate it, subject to backup cycles and legal requirements.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should use care when sending sensitive information by email or through an unencrypted form.

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of certain personal information; to withdraw consent; to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and to appeal a decision concerning a privacy request.
To submit a request, contact us using the information below and describe the right you wish to exercise. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing the request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Where applicable law requires recognition of an opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, the website must be technically configured to process that signal.
11. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The website and The Nantucket Edit programs are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate. Age requirements for particular events will be stated in the applicable event or ticket information.
12. INTERNATIONAL VISITORS
The Nantucket Edit is based in the United States, and personal information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Those locations may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis for processing, we generally rely on consent, performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as operating and securing the website, communicating with interested guests and business contacts, and planning and administering the event. You may have the right to complain to a data-protection authority in your place of residence.
13. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
The website may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services, including social platforms, ticketing providers, payment processors, hotels, transportation providers, media, and partner sites. We do not control their privacy or security practices. Review the privacy notice of any third party before providing personal information.
14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, vendors, event operations, or legal obligations. We will post the revised version on this page and change the “Last Updated” date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where required.
