The Founders
SATURDAY 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM · LIMITED SEATING AT THE SHED, BEACHSIDE HOTEL
Featuring The Vault’s Katherine Jetter, Founder & CEO of Bobbles & Lace Lindsay Rose Rando, and Josh winemaker Joseph Carr. Moderated by Lisa Pierpont.
What does it take to build, grow and protect a brand people genuinely want to belong to?
Behind every recognizable brand is a founder who made a series of decisions long before success was guaranteed. The Founders brings together entrepreneurs from wine, fashion, jewelry, retail and lifestyle for a candid conversation about what happens between the original idea and the brand the public eventually comes to know.
Moderated by journalist Lisa Pierpont, the discussion moves beyond polished success stories to the instincts, mistakes, inflection points and compromises behind the businesses—along with the choices each founder made to preserve a distinct point of view while growing.

DESIGNER TALK

The Cult of Good Taste
SATURDAY 10:00 -11:15 AM · LIMITED SEATING AT THE SHED, BEACHSIDE HOTEL
Featuring Award-winning stylist and on-air fashion expert Tara West and Fashion stylist, creative director and image-maker, Julie Matos. Moderated by Boston Common Magazine’s Francesca Mills Purcell.
Who decides what looks good—and why do we listen to them?
Taste once flowed through a relatively small circle of designers, editors, retailers and critics. Today, algorithms, influencers, clients, creators and online communities all shape what we see—and what we learn to want. The Cult of Good Taste asks whether taste is instinctive, inherited, practiced or simply the product of whoever holds attention.
Julie Matos and Tara West bring complementary perspectives from editorial media, advertising, creative direction, personal styling and on-air fashion commentary. Together they will examine the difference between fashion and personal style, the discipline of developing an eye and the tension between individuality and a culture of constant influence.

DESIGNER TALK
The Business of Fashion
SATURDAY 1:00 - 2:30 PM · LIMITED SEATING AT BILLIE’S NANTUCKET
Featuring legendary retailer Louis of Boston and fashion authority Debi Greenberg, and designer Jonathan Simkhai, Founder and Creative Director of SIMKHAI. Moderated by journalist Lisa Pierpont.
Fashion has never been more accessible. So why does so much of it feel the same?
The Business of Fashion brings together two distinct perspectives from opposite sides of the industry. Debi Greenberg spent decades discovering designers, shaping retail and developing a point of view about what deserved to be seen. Jonathan Simkhai has built a modern fashion house while navigating the realities of creating, evolving, and competing in an industry moving faster than ever.
Together, they will examine where creativity and originality stand today, what happened to the thrill of discovery, and whether the systems now shaping fashion—from social media and accelerated trend cycles to algorithms and AI—are opening new creative possibilities or pushing the industry toward sameness. The conversation looks beyond what is wrong with fashion to the bigger question: What will make us fall in love with it again?
